Shotton 4-0 Richmond

A depleted Richmond Town took on a full squad from Shotton for what seemed like the first time for months. Liam Dunn was his usual self and Milky, despite not scoring, managed to bag himself 3 assists!

Despite only naming a starting Xl and 1 on the bench, the score stayed at 0-0 for the opening 30 minutes, where both sides looked comfortable! Until Liam Dunn slalomed his way through Richmonds right hand side, being brought down in the process. Noone was taking the ball away from Brad Beeston. Penalty converted. 1-0

Shortly after his older brother Liam, tried to chip the Town keeper from outside the box, we’ll be phoning the Shotton Primary school caretaker first thing Monday morning for our ball back…

Not to be bettered, Liam wanted a goal of his own, when 9 minutes after our opening, the older Beeston, with his first for the club doubled our lead, with a great finish high into the net. 2-0

Shotton we’re beginning to take control and the likes of Milky, L.Beeston and Dunny were relishing the blue skies. 1-2’s from front to back, leading to our 3rd. Matty Johnson also with his opening goal for the club making it 3-0 three minutes before the break.

Second half began same as the first did, both sides with their foot on the ball and spraying ballas around. But on the 61st minute Matty Johnson was there again to double his tally for the club. 4-0.

Substitutions helped us to see the game out, could have been more but we’ll definitely take 4-0 and 3 points after the 1-0 defeat at their place.
